This rating is based on what this bourbon could have been rather than what it is. It is a great bourbon (4 star) for $37 with a pretty stereotypical nose and a somewhat muted taste. There is some dark fruit from the finish but nothing really novel has been created here. I hope that in the future, Suntori-Beam pushes a collaboration into the realm of new.
